The Yale Comparative Administrative Law ListServ is proud to host a series of online discussions on comparative administrative law around the world!
These online discussions seek to provide opportunities for exchanging ideas on comparative administrative law on a broad range of issues, whether macro or microlevel, whether analytical or conceptual, or whether doctrinal or empirical in approaches. The goals is to spur the interests and curiosity of both comparative scholars and experts in national administrative law.
All discussions will take place online.
The inaugural discussion will be held on 8 May 2025, 15:00-16:30 CET.

This first online discussion held by the Yale Comparative Administrative Law ListServ is dedicated to the discussion of a fascinating new book: Comparative Administrative Law: An Introduction (Edward Elgar 2025) by Professors Giulio Napolitano and Leonardo Parona.
Providing an overview of the history and methods of legal comparison as applied to the field, this book traces the origin, evolution and transformation of administrative law in various jurisdictions across the globe. It examines the tendencies of convergence as well as the preservation of distinctive traits within international legal systems.
To launch the publication of this book, the authors will engage in conversation with Mariolina Eliantonio, Oren Tamir, and Trevor TW Wan about “Comparative Administrative Law” and its potential research agenda.
